Hippity hoppity Easter’s on its way!

Easter is a Christian holiday that is celebrated all over the world. Easter is on a different date every year, but it’s usually in late March or early April. It is a holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, there is another thing that Easter is famous for: the Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny legend began in Germany. The Easter Bunny is very mysterious and is similar to Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. During Easter, the Easter Bunny hops around while carrying a basket full of brightly colored Easter eggs, candy, and sometimes toys. Then, the Easter Bunny gives these to children.

Easter is celebrated differently all over the world, but in the U.S. many families like to decorate Easter eggs by painting them with bright colors. Easter eggs are said to represent the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it is also said that Easter eggs come from an ancient pagan tradition that celebrates spring.

In addition to painting Easter eggs, parents sometimes put candy inside plastic eggs and hide them around their house or yard. Then, on Easter morning their children try to find the hidden plastic eggs! It’s very exciting for them. After the Easter Egg hunt, many families go to Church or watch a big parade on TV. In the afternoon, many families eat ham, but traditionally lamb was eaten by Jewish and Christian people in the past.
